Maternal-fetal medicine

Dr. Fausett brings more than three decades of medical experience to maternal-fetal medicine and clinical research. A retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and former Consultant to the Surgeon General for obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, he has served as Boeson Research’s Medical Director and a principal investigator since 2018.

Clinical and research leadership: His career includes leadership of obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine services at Wilford Hall and San Antonio Military Medical Center, perinatal quality improvement, and funded research in preterm-birth prevention, obstetric patient safety and delivery outcomes.

Boeson research experience: His PI portfolio includes maternal RSV immunization, vaccines, endometriosis, PCOS, migraine, and genetic and endometrial-cancer screening research. Additional Sub-I experience includes pregnancy and endometriosis biospecimen studies, RSV, and other therapeutic programs.

Training: MD, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences; obstetrics and gynecology residency, Wilford Hall Medical Center; maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, University of Utah.
