Privacy Statement (US)

Research inquiries and pre-screening privacy

Boeson Research LLC uses its website to provide information and help prospective volunteers contact our research teams. This section explains how we handle research inquiries and pre-screening information. For those records, the research-specific retention explanation below applies instead of the general 12-month service-retention descriptions elsewhere on this page. Applicable law, permissions, authorizations, and study-specific consent documents continue to govern their respective activities.

Where your submitted information is retained

We do not retain submitted research-interest or pre-screening information in the website’s WordPress database. When you submit information through our designated research-interest or pre-screening process, it is retained in a separate research database operated in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records and electronic signatures, as applicable. Those requirements concern electronic-record controls; they do not replace your research consent or privacy rights. Website cookies, consent preferences, and technical or security logs are separate from submitted research records and may be processed by website systems and service providers as described in the cookie disclosures.

General contact messages

Our general website contact form sends your message and contact details by email so we can respond. This is separate from the research database described above. Do not use that form or ordinary email to send medical records, detailed health history, Social Security numbers, or confidential study documents. Ask our team to arrange an appropriate exchange. Responding to an inquiry does not by itself enroll you in research or authorize unrelated marketing.

BR-REC-001 and Pearl IRB oversight

Our Master Pre-Screening and Screening Plausibility Protocol, BR-REC-001, Version 1.1 dated September 14, 2026, was approved by Pearl IRB under IRB ID 2026-0457 through an amendment approved September 14, 2026. Initial approval was August 12, 2026. The amendment approval expressly lists the complete Version 1.1 protocol and states that no changes to the informed consents were necessary. This identifies the pre-screening protocol’s oversight; it does not mean that Pearl IRB has approved this website privacy statement, its tracking technologies, or every separate clinical trial.

Visiting a webpage, viewing an advertisement, or clicking content alone is not permission to create or augment an identifiable research health profile. Entry into pre-screening requires affirmative engagement, an appropriately authorized referral, or another appropriate basis for contact and information use. We obtain appropriate permission before intentionally collecting and retaining substantive health information for pre-screening. Permission to contact you is not blanket permission to obtain medical records or enroll you in research.

With appropriate permission, pre-screening may include relevant self-reported health history, medications, practical participation considerations, basic noninvasive measurements, and appropriately authorized review of existing medical records. This information helps us determine whether formal screening for a current or reasonably anticipated research opportunity is plausible. It does not determine eligibility or enroll you in a clinical trial. New invasive testing or distinct research assessments require separate applicable protocol and IRB authority or the study-specific consent and screening process.

Browser privacy choices

Our Complianz consent manager is configured to recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC), a browser signal requesting an opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information, and to apply that preference to tracking controlled by the consent manager. You can also manage website tracking choices on our Opt-out preferences page. Browser tracking choices do not withdraw research consent or automatically delete records held in our separate research database; contact our team for those requests.

Your choices and research-record retention

Pre-screening is voluntary. You may decline questions or a records request, limit future contact, or stop without affecting your medical care, benefits, or legal rights. Missing information may prevent us from assessing screening plausibility. Future contact and matching remain subject to your permissions. Contact us to change those permissions or request access, correction, or deletion as applicable.

Research and pre-screening records are retained according to applicable law, IRB requirements, Boeson retention policy, and the permissions and obligations governing the records. Permitted matching information may remain after an individual opportunity closes. Neither a 12-month website-service period nor a non-expiring IRB approval establishes the retention period for these records. Stopping contact does not automatically delete records that must be preserved; we will explain any applicable limits on a deletion request.

Under BR-REC-001, we apply privacy, confidentiality, minimum-necessary, access-control, and authorization practices modeled on the HIPAA Privacy Rule, together with any more protective applicable requirements. This voluntary standard does not itself establish HIPAA-covered-entity status. We seek and retain only information reasonably useful for authorized purposes and, where reasonably practicable, document its source, date obtained, and supporting permission or authority. Access to identifiable pre-screening information is limited to authorized personnel and systems with a role-related need. Authorized IRB and regulatory oversight may include review of relevant records. BR-REC-001 does not provide blanket permission to disclose identifiable health profiles to advertisers or unrelated parties.

For questions about your rights under BR-REC-001, contact Pearl IRB at (317) 899-9341 and reference IRB ID 2026-0457. For a separate clinical trial, use the IRB contact in that trial’s consent document. For Boeson privacy questions or requests, use the contact details below.
