Opt-out preferences

Cookie and browser-tracking choices are separate from permission to participate in research. Our Master Pre-Screening and Screening Plausibility Protocol, BR-REC-001, Version 1.1 dated September 14, 2026, was approved by Pearl IRB under IRB ID 2026-0457 through an amendment approved September 14, 2026. That approval concerns the pre-screening protocol; it does not approve website trackers or provide consent to advertising.

Viewing an advertisement, visiting a webpage, searching for a health condition, or clicking content alone is not permission to create or augment an identifiable research health profile. Accepting cookies does not authorize medical-record access, enrollment in a clinical trial, or collection and retention of substantive pre-screening health information. Appropriate affirmative engagement or an authorized pathway and the permissions required for the activity remain necessary.

Submitted research-interest and pre-screening information is retained in our separate research database, operated in compliance with applicable 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, rather than the website’s WordPress database. Cookies, consent preferences, and technical logs are separate from those research records. Cookie expiration periods below do not determine research-record retention.

Our Complianz consent manager is configured to recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) and apply the browser’s opt-out preference to tracking it controls. Changing cookie preferences does not withdraw research consent or automatically delete research records. Contact our team to change research-contact permissions or make a research-record request.
