About the research study:
The study project will evaluate the efficacy and safety of a proposed update to the standard pneumococcal vaccine given to toddlers. This study is available at our Missoula location.
Who can participate?
Subjects will be healthy toddlers between 12 and 15 months of age.
What happens during the study?
Toddlers will receive one dose of either the study vaccine or the standard pneumococcal vaccine at the first visit. Two blood samples will be taken - one at the first visit and one 30 days later at the second (last) visit. A phone call is planned one week after the first visit to check up on the toddler.
How long is the study?
Approximately 30 days.
